Still working on adding better content, making this user friendly and appealing.
My computer has a Big Problem so for now I am { very limited} by what I can accomplish with my little android tablet.
Every day is a new adventure!
All sewing is in limbo for the ( moment) but I'm not idle.... Almost finished with my wool (Oxford Punch) pillow top, all the detail is finished, just filling in the background now.
I put together a travel kit to take to work to work on during breaks with a ( January) wool applique block. Yup, a little behind, ....
More soon, need to get ready for another 10 hour shift at { that place} that keeps me from sewing, but pays my bills...

jumping into the world of blogging is an adventure all its own
I thought my quilting journey was an adventure.... Then I 'stumbled' into this world of blogs. I certainly have a lot to learn!
I love quilting, have a custom longarm quilting business, so, love quilting for others too. :)
I have been sewing crafting most of my life. For many years each January instead of ( resolutions) I would choose a new Craft I wanted to learn, then I would most often visit the library, find books, buy materials, and jump in with both feet! Sometimes I managed to find a class or workshop, see demonstrations at a craft fair, meet someone willing to help.
When I decided to learn to crochet it took me about 6 months to make a square! They kept coming out round ( or worse, triangular)
But finally figured it out.
Some activities I tried/ did for one project, or for a short amount of time then never did again. Some, right away I knew just was not for me, some were fun and I thoroughly enjoyed but only did once { basket weaving, quilling, glass mosaics, }
Some I did a lot of for a time, then it went to the background while something else consumed me. Some of those I still do on occasion, when the need or desire strikes. Mostly needle work, of some sort, textile activities. I have a definite love of textiles!
In the 90's I did a lot of Pretty Punch ( now just called punch needle embroidery) still pick it up on occasion.
For the past 15 years instead of learning a New Craft I learn a new Technique in quilting, quilting has become ' all consuming',
Every now and then I do just want to knit something, or crochet, and I do spend time hooking rugs ( I'm a rug freak! I love, love, love rugs- but that's a whole other topic. It is a passion almost as strong as quilting. I always have a rug project to sit & work on when I'm not working on a quilt project)
So, have I bored you to tears with my ( about me? Without telling you much?
Sorry, I do get ' rambling' sometimes
I live in northern Michigan with a wonderful, supportive husband and big white cat. I have 3 adult children, and 3 beautiful granddaughters.
As I get organized I will be sharing pictures of on- going projects, have a quilt a long project and some 'stuff' to share.
Currently I am working on a Frank Lloyd Wright style quilt. Which is a commission. Also an Unusual Lone Star which I hope to be one to enter in a show this year and a couple projects being hosted by others. I always seem to have a dozen projects in various stages going on. It have an English PaperPiece project I've been working on for over a year, a wool project ( I love, love, love working with wool!!!)
A wool punch needle chair mat and I am preparing to start a new wool hooked rug.
It gets a little overwhelming sometimes to list the projects in the works, better to concentrate at the ' in my hands project of the moment, instead of the big picture. :)
Pictures will appear sometime this weekend. I sure look forward to sharing this journey!
